Never submit names, usernames, profile links, photos, contact details, workplace or school details, addresses, live locations, or anything that could identify a person offline.
Privacy & safety
The story is the point. Not someone’s identity.
THE RECEIPT™ is a space for perspective on behavior. It is not a place to identify, shame, diagnose, or direct harassment toward real people.
Review before public
Community submissions stay private and pending. We store only the redacted version and do not show it publicly unless it has passed a human review.
Report concerns
Every public Receipt has a report option. Use it for identifying information, harassment, misinformation with a safety impact, or anything that misses these rules.
Removal requests
Submitters receive a private removal code for pending stories. Anyone may request removal of a public Receipt. Requests are reviewed, not automatically decided.
